In the field of harmony, this collection has guided students and artists alike for over 150 years. These chorales have been sung in churches and concert halls innumerable times for an even longer period of time. One folio containing these chorales would be enough, but this folio also includes 69 Chorale melodies with figured bass which G.C. Schemelli published in 1832 as an addendum to the 371 chorales and which has assumed a place of musical importance every since. For the student of choral music, adding this collection to your music library is a necessity.
