John Thompson's Modern Course For The Piano, The Fourth Grade Book

Click on the image above to see a larger version.

Item number: 1705431BC, Pages: 92, Price: $7.95

John Thompson has created a method book that approaches playing the piano in a more "modern" way. The series focuses on musicality early on. While the students are learning the notes, rhythms, and patterns, they are also learning about phrasing, musical form, tempo, shading, and other musical style skills. This series provides a clear and complete foundation in the study of the piano that enables the student to think and feel musically.

"The Fourth Grade Book" picks up where the last book left off. The emphasis of this book is style. All of the works have been selected to increase the student's knowledge and skill about style. Each work in the book explains the skill that is being introduced or reinforced. Students will know what they are working on even before the piece is played. It is an excellent way to learn.
